Labelling
"Safety Data Sheets, together with labels on containers of chemical products, are often the most important sources of information for users undertaking an assessment of risk....."
Safety Data Sheets for Substances and Preparations Dangerous for Supply (Second Edition)
Correct labelling is essential for safety. Labels, as with classifications, should comply with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS), a system that aims to ensure that information on physical hazards and chemical toxicity is available in order to enhance the protection of human health and the environment during the handling, transport and use of these chemicals.
Label Design
Once classification is complete, compliant supply and transport labelling needs to be designed, annotated and matched to the dimensions of the packaging to be used.
SDS Professional provides a single data source for classification labelling. This ensures Safety Data Sheets and labels are consistent.
Although Hibsoft is Safeware Quasar's preferred labelling system, SDS Professional interfaces with other 'best of breed' systems.

Label Printing
Classification label printing is invariably a just-in-time, mission critical operation for most manufacturers.
Supporting label printing requires a different skill base and infrastructure to what is available from Safeware Quasar.
We recommend Hibiscus, who specialise in classification label production, management and support.
